The Great Movies

Hi :)

I'm offering a series of workshops on film study to my gifted students (grades 5 and up). I need some suggestions for some films. So far I'm thinking Psycho and Citizen Kane...but I need a few more. Rating isn't a big issue because I have them filling out a permission form to take part.

Also...any suggestions you have for content would be awesome!
Thanks in advance!

They could have lots to talk about with:

1. Dr. Strangelove
2. A Room With A View (don't laugh...there's lots to get out of this film for kids; it can let them in on a period in which it was the ultimate social gaffe to mention the word "stomache" and it also examines the old roles of men and women. The author of the original book was gay, and he considered all of the mannered drama in this work to be high comedy. Also, there's frontal male nudity for about 1 second.
3. Fast Times at Ridgemont High (slightly edited)-as old as this is, I bet they can relate.
4. The Best Years of Our Lives
5. Star Wars:ep IV (Hey, they might have never seen it)
6. His Girl Friday
7. Harold and Maude
8. Osama
9. Rebel Without a Cause
10. American Grafitti
